RESEARCH

Our research programmes focus on the thematic clusters that we have set. Each thematic cluster is coordinated by expert(s) in the respective field. We are not doing research projects only by ourselves, but multi-disciplinarily collaborating with individuals from Universitas Airlangga, research partners, fellows, and communities. The latter is pivotal as the core of our activities–including research–is groundedness. We believe that knowledge production, dispersion, and ultimately use should take place dialogically. We include and synthesize voices emanating from multi-sited and multi-positional sources.

Outputs that we strive to consistently publish come in various formats. As our main goal is to disperse knowledge where it can reach many people effectively and easily, recognizing the need to have plural publication forms is stressed. Collaborations with many actors mentioned previously are disseminated in academia spheres (journal articles, book chapters, reviews) and popular arena (popular articles, social media engagements, newsletters, and other digital means).
